Setting up a new hospitality venture is an exciting time. You’ve got an inspiring idea, you’ve determined your point of difference, and maybe you’ve even decided on the menu—but the most important step to bringing your venue to life is receiving approval through either local Council, or a Private Certifier.
One of the key applications you may need is a Change of Use. If you’re moving into an existing space, you’ll likely need to seek approval to change the existing use of the premises into a hospitality venue. Change of Use approval is required to ensure you’ve put the right measures in place to accommodate for different patronage capacities, design and fit-out needs, signage, and neighborhood zoning.
And this doesn’t just count if you’re changing an office space into a cafe. It can be more nuanced, such as if you change a venue like a cafe into a wine bar, or change a restaurant space into a cafe, with an attached retail space.
At CIVAC, we make it easy to achieve the right approvals for your new hospitality venture. We’ll help you determine the right approval pathways for your venue, and identify whether you need to apply for a Development Application to your local Council, or by acquiring a Complying Development Certificate from a Private Certifier.
Our aim is to manage the entire process for you, from start to finish. We’ll deal with the red tape, and gather all the necessary information, to help streamline the process and ensure you get approval for your new business sooner.
